Reflections from the Amazon: Embracing the Journey of Healing

As you read this, I’m halfway through my shamanic healing retreat deep in the heart of the Amazon. Here, disconnected from the hum of Wi-Fi and the buzz of daily life, I’m reconnecting with nature and the deepest parts of myself. It’s a rare and precious moment—one I’ve been craving for a long time. The chance to step away from the distractions of modern life and simply be.

The Power of Disconnecting to Reconnect

In a world constantly pulling us in different directions—whether through social media, to-do lists, or the endless stream of notifications—finding time to disconnect is a gift. For me, this retreat is about quieting the external noise so I can listen to what’s truly within. I know this transition from the everyday hustle to stillness won’t be easy, but I’m embracing the challenge. Sometimes, it’s in the quiet moments that we hear the loudest truths.

The Call of Peru: Returning to Where It All Began

This isn’t my first time in Peru. In 2019, I trekked the Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu with my family, a trip that left a lasting impression. I had a deep feeling then that I would return someday, and here I am. It’s funny how the universe works—bringing us back to the places we need to be when the time is right. This return to Peru feels like the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. It’s a moment of profound magic, one that’s been in the making for years.

Healing as a Healer: Walking the Path Alongside You

Many of you know my story. I found sobriety in 2019, a journey that’s been life-changing. But what I’ve learned over the years is that healing is never truly "done." It’s an ongoing process. This is why, as a healer, I continually seek out opportunities for my own growth and healing. The work I do—whether it’s plant medicine, psilocybin ceremonies, or my daily meditation practice—isn’t just for me. It’s for you, my clients.

I believe a healer can only guide others as deeply as they’ve gone themselves. I want you to know that I’m not here to be perfect or to have all the answers. I’m here to walk this path alongside you, learning and healing as I go. This year has been full of moments that have pushed me further on my journey. From completing my Cacaoist Plant Medicine training to diving deep into psilocybin ceremonies, I’ve found a deeper sense of peace, forgiveness, and self-love.

Autism and ADHD: A New Layer of Self-Understanding

One of the biggest turning points for me this year was receiving my autism and ADHD diagnosis. While this discovery came after years of self-reflection, the official diagnosis was a huge moment of clarity and relief. It’s as if I finally received the missing puzzle piece, giving me deeper insight into myself. And as I head into the jungle, it feels like perfect timing. This diagnosis is part of the healing I’m doing now, dissolving old identities and making room for the expansive energy within me—self-love, acceptance, and the freedom to explore myself in a new way.

Healing Is Never a Straight Line

If there’s one thing this year has taught me, it’s that healing is not linear. It’s messy, it’s beautiful, and it’s deeply personal. Each step I’ve taken has been important, not just for my own growth but for the work I do with you. I want my clients to know that I don’t just talk about healing—I live it. I understand the struggles, the setbacks, and the breakthroughs because I’ve been there. And I continue to be there, evolving alongside you.

As I journey through the Amazon, I carry with me all that I’ve learned this year. The healing, the letting go, and the deepening trust in myself and the universe. I look forward to returning with a renewed sense of clarity and connection, ready to support you on your journey, just as I’ve supported myself.
